How I Lost Weight Using Granola Bars, Full Meals and Lots of Water

0 commentaires

More than 1.9 billion people worldwide were overweight in 2010, a 25 percent increase since 2002. Also, the United States (Mexico is not far behind) leads all industrialized countries, 78.6 percent of their adult population is overweight.
I want to share my simple/straightforward on-going experience with you regarding this most important issue. In 2010 I was one of those people who were overweight. Due to the worldwide financial crisis (still affecting many of us) it was difficult to have access to popular/recognized diet-weight loss programs; we could not afford them.
Solution: Due to their very affordable prices/healthy nutrition ingredients (whole grain being the main factor) we decided to use "Nature Valley Granola Bars" to lose weight/keep it off. The ones we used were mainly the "Oats 'N Honey" package.
Why did we choose Nature Valley Oats 'N Honey Crunchy Granola Bars: The first thing I noticed on the packaging of these granola bars was the "100% Natural" banner. Nature Valley Oats 'N Honey Crunchy Granola Bars (NVGB) are made from whole grains and give you an excellent source of fiber. It has a fresh and natural taste to it with a hint of sweetness from the honey. This particular granola bar is the official natural energy bar of the Professional Golf Association Tour (PGA).
Each package contains two bars which total 1.5 oz. and contain 190 calories. I've been very satisfied with these bars and love the nutrition provided; they contain 16 g of whole grain per serving; at least 48 g are recommended daily. The whole grain ingredients really fill you up and hold you until the next meal.
Plan: Our goal with our personal own weight loss program (this had to be done in a simple/natural/healthy way) was to:
  • Structure a daily diet of average 1,500 calories; most people will lose weight eating these many calories.
  • Use a daily combination of NVGB/full meal(s) while drinking lots of water (no hidden secret formulas/E-books/programs, etc.).
  • Lose a healthy 1 to 2 pounds per week; cut 500 to 1000 calories/day.
Results: YES, we did it/feel great and have kept the weight off for 2 years using NVGB!; our glucose (sugar) and lipid panel (cholesterol/triglycerides/VLDL and LDL) levels are well within recommended parameters (based on December 2012 laboratory results).
With so many people (adults/children) overweight/obese around the world today we developed an affordable/easy way for all of us to deal with this most important health issue. To learn how I did it (real facts/figures/results)/how things are going with my weight/health please go to our simple 1 page web site; hopefully some of you will thank me later on.
Take care/stay healthy
