Bodyweight Cardio Weight Loss Circuits

0 commentaires
Gold's Gym: Cardio Workout
I always have clients that ask me for "Desert Island Workouts", meaning if they were trapped on a deserted island with absolutely no equipment (as they often are in their hotel rooms or when at home), what could they possibly do to burn fat and maintain muscle mass.
The solution is simple. With a little creativity, you can do dozens of bodyweight exercises to burn fat fast. Let's use one of my patented Bodyweight Cardio Circuits as an example.
When putting together a bodyweight circuit, I like to go in this order:
1) A fast, dynamic bodyweight exercise (jumping jacks or running in place)
2) A bodyweight squat (put your hands behind your head to work your upper back)
3) An easy pushup (regular or close grip, kneeling if you are a beginner)
4) A single-leg exercise (such as a walking lunge)
5) An upper back exercise (pullups, chinups, or inverted rows if you are lucky enough to have something to hang on, otherwise you can use resistance band rows or dumbbell rows - unfortunately, if you are truly stuck on a deserted island, you don't have much you can do here)
6) Another single-leg exercise such as split squats
7) A total body ab exercise (mountain climbers are great)
8] Finish with a total body, fast paced exercise (burpees, jump rope, jumping jacks, sprints, running in place, etc)
Do this as 1 giant circuit. No rest between exercises. Rest 1 minute at the end of the circuit and go through this 1-3 more times depending on your fitness level.
BEGINNERS should only go through this once, and at an easy pace AND with REST between exercises. Be CONSERVATIVE anytime you start a new program. If you are advanced, you can start with 2-3 circuits per workout.
So have a great time with these fun bodyweight cardio workouts...
Then say goodbye to long, slow, boring, montonous cardio forever!

Smart Beginner Body Building Tips

0 commentaires
Bodybuilding
Everyone, even Arnold, had to start somewhere. For the beginner, body building can be confusing. Use your head, learn all you can, and follow these smart beginner body building tips, and rather than just following the example of some muscle-headed guys who never succeed, you'll end up cut AND healthy.

Beginner Body Building Tip #1:

Research, learn, and go in with a smart beginner body building plan. You can't just go to a gym, jerk some weights, drink protein powder and walk out rippling. There are smart ways to do it, and really dumb ways. Learn the right way first and you'll come out ahead.

Beginner Body Building Tip #2:

Don't trust everything you read in magazines. Many of them are owned by nutritional supplement companies. Guess which products they'll push? Many are nothing more than glorified ads aimed at beginner body building hobbyists. Ask around and find unbiased advice. Hey, you may become such a perfect specimen that you end up on a magazine - and you won't even need a touch up!

Beginner Body Building Tip #3:

Don't even think about using steroids. Too many beginner body building enthusiasts, steroids seem like the quickest path to success, but they're really nothing but trouble. There are incredibly effective natural ways to stimulate your muscle development without putting your health and life in danger.

Beginner Body Building Tip #4:

Understand how your muscles work. You build muscle by taxing it then allowing your body to repair the microscopic tears you caused. This takes time - about a week for each targeted muscle group - and patience. If you're tempted to overdo it, a common beginner mistake, it's like taking the lid off a pot of water you want to boil. It'll never happen because you keep interrupting the process.

Beginner Body Building Tip #5:

Beginner body building injuries come from trying to lift too much weight for too long. Don't work out more than an hour a day five days a week. Go past that, and your workout's working against you. If you work efficiently, you don't have to live at the gym.

Beginner Body Building Tip #6

Watch your form. Jerk up. Drop down. Repeat, right? Do yourself a favor and take a course on beginning body building, or hire a coach and learn it right. Extending to the full range of motion is a very smart way to get faster results. Don't get sloppy. Don't rush. Bad form just wastes your time. Good form takes balance, flexibility, and concentration - all good things. Use good form...and you get great results.

Body Building Tips - Need New Workout Program?

0 commentaires
Muscles connecting the upper extremity to the ...
To make your exercise and gym program more effective and meaningful, we will share with you some workout ideas that seem to have already been forgotten by many people, including the experts. These are very basic tips that should be a part of your work out mantra to ensure that all your activities are fruitful.
Stretch Your Body
Many people think this is a boring exercise. You have to understand that as we age, our muscles also shrink. Children have muscles like rubber bands but we are no longer children. Our sedentary lifestyles and old age are both factors to why our muscles contract, shrink, and can perhaps one day turn us into a hunch back.
Decreased flexibility can cause injury. This is why not all adults can still bend over without getting a back pain. Stretching is a good indicator if you are likely to develop injuries on certain parts of your body. If you feel unusual pain in an area while stretching, this is your signal that you need to work that area out or see a doctor.
Know Your Anatomy
Our second out of the three body building tips is to know what exactly you are doing. It is not a surprise that many people who lift weights do not really know which muscles are being trained. Many of them will point at a muscle, like the biceps and say they want to make it ripped but the type of lifting they do is not commensurate with their goals.
In a nutshell, here are a few of your muscle groups:
  • Pectorals Major - these are called pecs and they are your chest muscles and all muscles that move your upper arms
  • Latissimus dorsi - these are also called lats and they are your muscles from the armpit to just above the waist
  • Quadriceps - these are the muscles from the waist up
  • Hamstrings - these are the muscles from the back of the knee
  • Biceps - these are the muscle between your elbow and shoulder. These are the muscles that bend your elbow.
Stand Tall
The last of the body building tips we have is related to posture. There is no sense working out hard if you do not improve your body posture. The back is the most important part of your body so make sure it is protected at all times, even when in the gym.
The right position to maintain when doing a standing position exercise is to maintain a straight back. Try standing with your back flushed on a wall. That is how you should be standing at all times.
I have prepared very powerful body building techniques below, enjoy!

How to Create the Best Bodybuilding Diet for You

0 commentaires
Looking and feeling good takes a lot of hard work. It's not just about going to the gym every day, lifting some weights, working the Nautilus machine, sweating buckets and then expecting immediate results. If only getting a ripped physique were that easy but it's not. There is a lot to be said and a lot to be gained when you work hard to have a great body. Celebrities do it to get more acting jobs and endorsements, bodybuilders do it to be able to compete professionally and some of us do it just because we want to be more active, do a lot more things and generally live longer, healthier lives.

Bodybuilders undergo some of the most intense training and exercise routines known to man and based on the results, it seems that they don't even break a sweat when lifting those heavy weights or doing those reps, but those in the know understand that to be able to even do those things, they have to do more than just be strong - they also have to know about good bodybuilding nutrition.

Nutrition is the core of successful bodybuilding because without good nutrition, you can't gain any muscle. When you work your body hard then you need to reward it as well with the essential nutrients to help keep you going and to keep you from feeling too tired or weak when training. Understand that the more your muscle mass increases, the more you have to eat and if your muscle mass decreases, you have to eat less. Striking the proper balance when it comes to your food intake is important if you are to achieve your fitness goals in no time.

First of all you need to learn your macro-nutrients and these are protein, carbohydrates and fats. Examples of foods that are rich in protein and should be incorporated in your diet include eggs, meat, fish, cheese and soy products. Bodybuilders can never have enough protein in your diet and if you're a beginner in this sport, you'll hear this word constantly day in and day out. Protein is the key to building muscle and accelerates anabolism or the creation, repair and maintenance of muscles during workouts and helps maintain the body's nitrogen levels to make it more conducive for muscle growth. It is recommended for bodybuilders to ingest protein five to six times a day, spread in intervals of two and a half to three hours. This means that if you are a 200-pound bodybuilder, you should eat about five to six protein-rich meals each day to achieve your goals.
Carbohydrates on the other hand, serve as your principal energy source during workouts. When they are converted to glucose, it serves as a boost of energy that keeps you going rep after rep after rep. While you can easily get your carbohydrate fix from the best supplements, it is still recommended that you eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, cereals and grains. When your diet lacks carbohydrates, you deplete your muscle tissues and prevent yourself from being able to produce maximum intensity and peak contractions during your training.

Contrary to popular belief, fats do not make you gain weight and generally screw up your bodybuilding efforts. In addition to being an alternative source of energy, they help your body absorb essential vitamins like A, D and E and slows the absorption of carbohydrates into the bloodstream, keeping your blood sugar levels from spiking. As long as you ingest the good kind of fats like Omega-3 fatty acids for example, which aids in faster muscle recuperation.

As far as proper proportions go, it is ideal for :

bodybuilders to ingest as much as 30% protein, 30% carbohydrates and 40% fats especially if they are just starting out. However, your ideal body breakdown will depend on factors like your body weight, lean body mass and insulin sensitivity to help you achieve your fitness goals. To start building the best diet for you, you must remember to learn how to calculate your caloric intake each day. To pack on muscles, you need to take in more calories than usual to sustain your body weight and make sure to include protein shakes with your meals to ensure maximum results.

If you want to make the most of your bodybuilding efforts for maximum results, then check out the bodybuilding nutrition supplements available at http://www.nutritionwarehouse.com.au and get the best supplements to help you achieve any fitness goal you set for yourself.

Free Bodybuilding Tips Online

Body building is a popular pastime with millions of people across the world. It is a sport that is now hugely popular amongst many men and women around the world. It is the sport of developing your muscle fibers through the combination of weight training, increased caloric intake, and rest. It is the technique of "building" the maximum strength and muscle tone in the body through weightlifting. Body building is concerned with shaping and defining the body's musculature, or muscle system. The sport is popular with many celebrities today, both male and female, as a way of just staying fit, toned, and attractive without being overly muscled. Building is a method of targeting muscles with multiple exercises. It is the best way to hold the control of how the body looks and is a systematic way to develop a wonderful physique through the use of proper nutrition and exercise program that can sculpt strong, solid looking muscles.
Muscle:

Muscle mass can be significantly increased in as little as two weeks. Muscles require sufficient time for healing, once every week for directly hitting the muscle is better, but allot of Bodybuilders prefer 3 times a week in their routine.  Muscles, tendons and ligaments apt to shorten over a period of time that restricts our range of motion and leaves us more prone to injury when abrupt stresses are placed on such structures. Muscles usually demand more work, time and devotion than the people generally think it does. Muscle building is a greater part of every bodybuilder. Muscles provide the needed movement to our body; the body is nothing but muscles and combination of several muscles working together. Muscles receive the signals from the central nervous system (CNS) of the body for the movements.  Muscle pulls are the most common occurrences in the body building training routine. Many athletes who want to remain legal and yet gain muscle bulk and energy, use creatine instead of steroids. First of all, it pulls fluid into the muscles, thus hydrating the muscles. The more you workout, the more you sweat, the more dehydrated your muscles become. Simply put, creatine keeps the muscles wet and working. Strenuous athletic workouts dehydrate the body, tire the muscles and quickly deplete energy levels.

The Training Routine:

It may take longer to develop muscle strength and size, but when you have it, you have it as long as you keep training at an intense level. The natural bodybuilder must pay extra close attention to sound training practices, in order to continue that gradual, continuous climb up the muscle development ladder. If you make a chart listing all the positives versus the negatives when it comes to natural bodybuilding versus steroid induced training, the natural bodybuilding positives far outweigh the drug induced positives. Stay with your training and your freshman fifteen will be MUSCLE not flab. While weight training and body building is helpful in sculpting a great figure, aerobic exercise is the cornerstone to any workout and it is the foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Weight training to be fit does not always have to mean bulging biceps and over-accentuated muscles.

Training Tips and Video:

As you progress in weight training and move on to hardcore weight lifting and body building, having the proper technique will definitely add to your workouts. The woman can boost her metabolism if she starts systematic weight training for getting the fit and stronger body within just a few weeks. The training passion and amount should be in line with what the man or woman can do easily and safely. Different forms of resistance can be used when training for strength. It is a good idea to get a Bodybuilding Tips magazine or a good video to watch before performing the routine on your own, a good Bodybuilding video will help you allot, it will also show you the right way to build your body without injury. Before starting any type of Bodybuilding training or routine consult your doctor.

Diet:

Diet and nutrition play a key role in body building and those that workout a lot tend to be on body building supplements that are loaded with proteins and valuable minerals and vitamins. Dietary protein which has enough amino acids in it, it's a good way to repair your muscles fast. Don't get duped into using strange diets, pills, or even dangerous exercises. The concerning thing about supplements is that anything classified as a dietary supplement is not required to meet any FDA or other standards. Before taking a supplement try to make modifications to your diet that might achieve the same goals. So there you have it, a supplement is something added to the diet to make up for a nutritional deficiency or imbalance, they are not intended to substitute for eating a balanced diet. Once you give up the strict diet that most body builders follow, as well as exercising, the body will gain weight very quickly. You need to be ready to dedicate 4-6 hours a day in a gym working out and putting yourself on the proper diet so you can get the best results with all your hard work in the gym.

Protein:

Protein and fat servings are especially helpful during the 30 minutes following a workout to help repair and build new muscle. Creatine also stimulates the uptake of amino acids in the proteins, which means that the more that it's used the more muscle that may be grown.  Glutamine containing products are protein shakes and good quality protein powders; it can also be added to protein shakes for added potency. While body building, you must follow a strict protein diet. After you have given up exercising, you must continue doing this, because if you suddenly stop the protein intake and replace it with regular food, the body will not recognize it and will start assimilating it as fat. Thereafter, you let your muscles rest and feed them with a proper diet rich in protein so that the muscle fibers recover. Supplement your bodybuilding workouts with whey protein. The recovery of the muscles also can happen in the presence of sufficient amino acids and the only source of amino acids is the dietary protein. Body builders generally need higher quality protein with the better BV instead of depending on proteins like soy which is mostly averted because of its estrogenic properties. Most strength trainers get both protein and fat from meats such as beef, chicken, pork or fish.
Steroids:

Steroids are usually used for a short duration of say 6-8 weeks with a substantial period of time elapsing before starting on the next course of steroids. Steroids create a positive nitrogen balance, lower cortisol and raise blood testosterone levels. Steroids are known to be very hazardous to your health and their effects on muscle are at most temporary.  Supplementation and steroids started to proliferate when volume strength training became the training system of the day. With the science of supplementation becoming so advanced there are now products that imitate illegal steroids. Bodybuilders compare clenbuterol to such steroids as Winstrol and Oxandrolone, The drug is mildly anabolic with great fat burning properties. It should be added that increasing body temperature is believed to magnify the effects of steroids, since the rate of protein processing is increased. Bodybuilders stack steroids because they find that drugs sometimes magnify each other's effects by a process known as synergism. Prior to 1991, bodybuilders could use steroids with relative immunity.   Given the social stigma of using steroids and the potential for doing jail time, bodybuilders should check out the latest legal steroid analogs. True; it is a much slower process but the long term gains far outweigh the adverse affects that even legal steroids may have on your body over an extended period of time. I have known people who have died, and even been thrown into jail for using, and selling anabolic steroids. Anabolic steroids are illegal if not administered by a physician.

Conclusion:

The sport isn't for everyone: Arnold Schwarzenegger body building is not for everyone.  It is the sport that revolves around developing fine muscular cuts while shedding excess body fat. It also is the most effective way to toughen and strengthen your muscles and gain power and strength. The sport is also referred to as art of displaying your body muscles in an attractive format. It is, in a way, an extreme sport.  Body building is a form of sport that people engage in to develop muscular, toned bodies through the use of controlled nutrition and diet plus intensive targeted physical training; this is mainly done for the purpose of developing a strong and muscular physique. Body building is really more than a sport - it is a mind, body, and soul endeavor.
